The Game Fair 2019

For our very first year visiting The Game Fair at Hatfield House we can truly say that we enjoyed every minute. Here’s a little sneak peek about how we got on at the event and what went on behind the scenes.

Our very first day on site was the hottest day of the year and the whole team worked hard to get the stand set up ready for the big day on Friday. We came across a few hurdles along the way, whether it be pitching our tent or coping with sudden downpours of rain and thunderstorms, we didn’t let this dampen our spirits and settled in for the big day ahead.

The Friday was a brilliant first day at The Game Fair to showcase our products, we kicked things off with a fantastic day meeting new people and making friends with our neighbours Cad & The Dandy and Marmaduke of London along with Hunter Boots being opposite our stand. As a fairly new business it was key to introduce visitors to our brand and help share our story behind the products.

Saturday brought along with it more rain, which didn’t manage to dampen our spirits and with some brilliant feedback about our Gin and Sloe Gin it was a great opportunity to talk to people about our products and how everything we make is made in Britain. As well as trying on our ladies clothing to keep out of the rain, we really enjoyed talking with visitors about our ladies shirts and how they have been uniquely designed to fit ladies who shoot or need to move about in the field. Sharing the details about the unique shooting collar shirt and the extra length in the body to enable women to move about whilst shooting and not have any problems tucking the shirt in or it not fitting in the right areas along with darting and shaping to flatter the female figure. Once the stand was then closed for the day we could let our hair down so to speak and enjoy the food stands and bars at the fair. This gave us a great opportunity to meet some new faces and enjoy the social side of the event.

Sunday was our final day at the show and whilst some of us were feeling fresher than others after a couple of drinks that night we still managed to have fun. The best hangover cure was found to be a bacon roll and a good old cup of tea. Plus a few tasters of Gin to keep us going. Sunday was again another rainy day but it wasn’t a wash out and it was a lovely chance to take a wander around the show grounds to take a peek at some of the other stands.

Once we had packed up the stand and were on the road the overwhelming feedback of positivity flooded in and we were all so pleased as a team that it was a successful show. We are truly thankful to all of the people we have met during our time at Hatfield House and want to share our gratitude to all of our new customers and followers on social media.

We simply cannot wait for next year at Radley Hall 2020, in the meantime keep an eye out to hear about more upcoming events for this year.
